Milk Poha with Rice Poha
A traditional sweet preparation made by softening Radhe Krishna Rice Poha in sweetened milk and finishing it with nuts and dry fruits. Simple, comforting and especially good as a light breakfast.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Radhe Krishna Rice Poha
- 500 ml milk
- 3-4 tbsp jaggery, grated
- 1 tbsp almonds, chopped
- 1 tbsp cashews, chopped
- 1 tbsp raisins
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
Instructions
- Prepare the poha: Rinse the Rice Poha gently and drain completely. Let it rest for a few minutes until the flakes become soft.
- Heat the milk: Pour the milk into a saucepan and bring it to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Add the poha: Add the softened Rice Poha to the warm milk and cook gently for a few minutes until the poha becomes tender.
- Add jaggery: Lower the heat and add grated jaggery. Stir until it dissolves completely and the milk becomes lightly sweet.
- Flavor and garnish: Add cardamom powder, almonds, cashews and raisins. Mix gently and cook for another minute.
